Paradise on Earth, 62, Make "We care for all weak persons" in all our laws

"Are you a human?"  What a great opening line--I haven't gotten to hear CBPL in person, but I can only imagine how well that must work...

Paradise on Earth, 60, The best ideas, who embraced them and what we can do now

Here we find a fascinating birth control program for Africa.  Even if these techniques worked, do you suppose a bunch of people who don't even have food happen to have "kitchen plastic sheets" laying around to make into improvised prophylactics?  Yunmen's staff, indeed!

Paradise on Earth, 52, Freedom from surveillance

A varied garden of paranoia here--but I do agree that the official death of the Fairness Doctrine, which has happened since this flyer would've been circulated, is a real drag.

Paradise on Earth, 51, Free speech cafe

I've heard that the author of these flyers might have fallen on hard times, and is trying to find a place to crash.  I do hope that s/he's okay.  Just to clarify the nature of this blog project, I'm interested in the actual content of the flyer series as a body of work--for me, it's a fascinating paranoia/Art Brut piece.  I find the juxtaposition of the increasingly weird content with the fairly moderate and coherent writing style irresistible.  And I wonder if this is the work of one person, or if the "Happiness Schools" organization in Iowa has something to do with them.  At any rate, I hope the author(s) are doing well, however they might define wellness.

Back to edition 51: "subliminals" continue to be discussed in greater detail.  Now they're coming through digital TV and the internet.  And their potential danger is briefly mentioned: "self-infliction."

I hope the folks who start building the wall on the West Coast stay away from open flames, considering all of the hairspray and insect repellent wafting around!

I do find myself in whole-hearted agreement with one paragraph of this flyer, though presumably for slightly different reasons: "Persons with advancements in technology need to consider advancements in society."  When society cannot advance then let's return to what is better for humans."  I'm exploring a variation of that notion toward its application to creative pursuits on my main blog, and hope to have a new post in that series in the next day or two.

Paradise on Earth, 49, Unusual cure

The Chinese subliminals discussed in a little more detail: toys with "subliminals" and flying devices!  Use insect repellent, of course!

If a person really tried to carry/use all of these things at once, imagine the complication--and the smell.

Paradise on Earth, 48, Chrisma Healings

The full CBPL concept of "subliminals" still hasn't been full explained in these, but she starts to allude to it in the "Americans Ask" section here...

Paradise on Earth, 47, The care we give

My favorite part of this one is how Christians and Jews are responsible for every medical advancement, yet most of the alternative healing suggestions CBPL makes are variations on ancient Chinese healing practices...

Paradise on Earth, 45, Foreign students can come to study America

It looks like CBPL has solved economic and cultural problems for native Americans!  How kind of her, indeed.  And now the Russians have moved from modifying and expertly re-binding our law books to quietly taking away our "smart drugs."  Very sneaky!

Paradise on Earth, 32, Milk of angels

This is another with "make copies" posted at the bottom.  What's even more interesting is the other footnote, which CPBL has done with little pieces of tape on many downtown buildings.

Paradise on Earth, 31, Healings for infestation

I think you'll agree that this one is particularly interesting.  Arguably it's a turning point in the quasi-narrative, after which "do no harm" and "kindness schools" thoughts start turning toward xenophobic paranoia more explicitly...

In the later unnumbered editions, there is another flyer with a more complex holy water recipe...
