I have to say that I found the "Healing a Painting" section at the end of this flyer very interesting--it's true that emotionally rich art projects affect the moods of their creators. But not everything in live needs balance or redemption...
I wonder if she's done painting or artwork as well, especially since she's making some very specific statements about technique and style. If they exist, I bet they're fascinating.
Very perceptive! I don't know many details, but I've been told that "the author" had a professional career in the visual arts that was slowly eclipsed by illness. I too would be interested in seeing her work.
That's interesting indeed! It sort of reminds me of the title essay from Oliver Sacks' "The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat," where Dr. Sacks sees an series of the patient's paintings, which go from purely representational to purely abstract as his ability to identify objects deteriorates.
